Well, since I'm on the laptop, and some of the June pictures are on here, I thought I'd share them and tell everyone a little about how June went :-)
June was pretty fun! Aside from me playing lots of tennis, school got out! Amber graduated from elementary school (as you'll see in some of these pictures). She had a GREAT report card and we are really proud of all the effort she put into her schoolwork this year - especially the last semester! Jace graduated from Kindergarten with straight "4's" (kindergarten A's).
This is the summer their best friends (and my friend Gwen) were going to be gone all of July, and with the move, that STINKS! :-) So, we did as much as we could before they left. Some of these pictures are of them at a local indoor playground. While there, Mr. Popularity, aka Jace ran into another best friend so they had lots of fun with him and his sister.
Through Brent, we got invited to a special screening of Wall-e at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank! We got there early and roamed around the studio. We couldn't get into any of the sets, but the kids were ECSTATIC to find the writer's office of LOST - one of their FAVORITE SHOWS! (thanks sparkgirls!) LOL. Many of you may not know this, but we recently rented all the past seasons of LOST on DVD and got hooked. Jace and Amber have been running around playing "LOST" ever since. Jace is always Sawyer and Amber is always Kate. It's always interesting to see Jace leading Amber around in "handcuff's". Also interesting when I find a "cache" of kitchen knives in Jace's closet....does he think he's John Locke? LOL We had a discussion that knives don't belong in closets..... Also while there, we got a little "lost" and found our way into some offices (you can imagine....mischievious Brent....) and while roaming around, we found a file cabinet labeled "LOST" and while we were walking away, we noticed Amber trying to sneak a peek! LOL
The screening was fun. They had sketch artists, a balloon guy and lots of snacks! Then when it was time for the movie, we got soda's, drinks, and candy! They got to listen to the Art Director of the movie (who's also been a lead on all the other Pixar movies). I found it very interesting. The movie was so cute! Originally, I wasn't really interested in seeing the movie, but after seeing it, I highly recommend it! Jace especially LOVED it! He wanted to see it again the next weekend.
I know more things happened in June (like my BIRTHDAY) but I'll have to blog about it another time - because...well, I'm late for tennis :-) hehe
Post some comments - I'd love to hear from you! Also, if any of you have blogs, post me a link!
